My dad

This photo to the left if of a dress I made last year. I found it hiding on my computer. Everything I'm wearing is made from recyclable materials- dress, scarf, jewelry, and I had shoes but I wasn't wearing them for some reason. Trust me when I say they rocked.
I also had a second dress (it was not made from a trash bag though, just recycled cloth and magazines) and it was fairly cool. It had a matching hair bow made out of a beer bottle cap (I do not drink, I found it on the ground and took it home because I collect bottle caps) and a really colorful clipping of a sunset.
I saw this in the grocery and wondered what would drive someone to name there product "My dad's nuts". It's just an uncomfortable innuendo. Just looking at the product makes me squirm.
There were free samples though and I helped myself. It tasted exquisite. They're really good if you don't have a peanut allergy, like sugar and don't look at the bag. I suggest you go out and buy some. Yum.
Lastly, my mom made these excellent brownies with marshmallows and chocolate chips inside them (I liked them which is saying something because normally I dislike brownies with an utmost intensity). She had to leave a sign for my papa so he wouldn't eat them all. He's kind of hefty.
He'll make brownies and then eat the whole pan in one sitting by himself. What a health-conscious guy.

Subliminal Messaging
It's a little late to talk about Christmas presents, But I felt I had to share. My family and I headed to grandparents house for the holiday a little late (end of January I believe) to exchange presents, stuff our faces with food, and enjoy each others company.
First we had turkey and various sides (it was a very small dinner for me... I do not enjoy meat and it was the 'main event' so mostly I was forced to enjoy heaps of potato salad).
Then we socialized, which was not so enjoyable for me. The conversation about my bowling practice led to my uncle practically forcing me to go bowling with him, where he tried to give me 'a few pointers', which it just so happened made me bowl in the THIRTIES. And the lanes we went to hurt my poor baby- err I mean ball. The stupid ball return was feeling inadequate and took it's frustrations out on my spherical object, covering it in a layer of RUBBER. It is very hard to get off. I'm still trying. Present exchanging time came around, and that uncle returned my easel holder (he got it for me on Christmas Eve but I couldn't have it because he wanted to stain it) which I was grateful for. Maybe now I'll test out those oil paints, though i've been waiting for the weather to warm. It would look adorable to paint outside.
